Baltimore Rugby Foundation

On behalf of the Baltimore Rugby Foundation, I wish to ask for your assistance in bringing a larger Rugby presence to the Baltimore area. For the past three years, we have worked with the community around our Home Pitch, Frank Bocek Park, to give the children a chance to enjoy summer Touch Rugby programs. Moving forward, we would like to look at a larger picture, and expand our reach. To that end, we plan on assisting with starting tackle programs and other youth based programs in the immediate future. Our initial goals are to assist in creating a girls under-19 program, and to hire a coach or coaches to oversee the Summer Youth Program.

We also are trying to raise funds for a permanent home for the Baltimore-Chesapeake RFC. We would like to obtain land that we can own, rehabilitate, and use for many purposes. We would like to have at least two fields with lights, a clubhouse, bleachers, and any other items as needed or desired by the team. This is truly a long term goal, and one that will take a lot of capital and energy to come to fruition, but something that we will work towards while we continue to promote and develop rugby in the Baltimore area.

With these ideas in mind, I would like to ask you to consider donating $50 to help fund our youth programs. For that amount, we can cover the the summer youth program’s team registration, CIPP, uniforms, coaching stipend, transportation to and from games and the end of season tournament for one youth. If you cannot donate $50, any amount you can donate will assist greatly in bringing rugby to a larger number of our youth. As a 501(c)3 organization, we will send you a receipt for these donations that you can bring to your tax preparer. Your continuing support assists with the expansion of rugby in the Baltimore region and aids the club in expanding its presence in the community.
