Coaches Corner

Youth rugby
The Little Bocek Brumbies will begin practice on May 19 and will be held every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30 to 8:00. Danny Cohen, Rob Books and Christian Kirby will serve as coaches again this summer. Everyone's support is needed. Matches go from June 20 every weekend until the tournament Aug 1.

We have also partnered with the Baltimore City Department of Recreation and Parks to hold the city’s first ever youth rugby clinic on Saturday, May 9, 2009. We welcome boys and girls ages 7 to 15. No experience required. The clinic will be held at Bocek Park from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. There will be light snacks and refreshments following the clinic. There is also a men’s club match versus New York Rugby Club following the clinic at 1:00 p.m.

The kids will learn the basic rugby skills and fundamentals of one of the fastest growing sports. They may even want to continue playing for a local team such as: the Little Bocek Brumbies Youth team during the summer or with the Baltimore Polytechnic High School Rugby team in the spring. Representatives from both clubs will be present to answer questions.
