    Player Profile
    Full Name: Dan Randow
    Nickname: Ran-dew, Dew
    Birthplace: Towson, MD
    Birthdate: 9/8/81
    Occupation: Financial analyst, anyone hiring?
    Marital status: Bachelor for life
    College: University of Maryland
    Years playing: 9 - ish
Positions: 2nd Row, Prop, 8-Man during Matias’ drug
    Previous clubs: UMD, Washington
Why you started playing: I watched my dad play a couple years when I was younger, and it looked like a lot of fun. When I transferred to Maryland, I needed something to do and after I got cut from the Ultimate Frisbee team, Rugby seemed logical.

Favorite International team: no real favorite, but I support Ireland and Scotland since they’re the 2 teams I’ve seen play live.
    Favorite players: Sebastian Chabal
Biggest influence in rugby: In life? Chad Dammers. To be 25 years old, still a freshman in college, working for his mom. No responsibilities, no worries, he truly is living the dream. In rugby: The great motivator Jim Bonner, and the great nacho Luis Tambussi. It always took an act of God to get Luis off the field, he never stopped no matter how broken or bruised he was.
Best teammate: On the field, it would be Powell. Having him on the field makes everyone a better player. The knowledge of the sport and the passion he has for BC is unmatched. Plus before he retired, you were always guaranteed some great post match entertainment from him.
Best memory in rugby: It had to be the Mystic River game, where we were lining up to receive a 22 drop kick, and Harkum nailed the guy as he was bringing the ball to the line. Our back to back trips to the Sweet 16 were a great time too. Can’t wait to make it back there Spring ‘11
Biggest disappointment in rugby: Losing the game in the final minutes to eventual champions Hayward. That was a rough one to lose. Losing to Mystic in overtime is right up there too.
Favorite post-match ritual: slap game at mum’s and being blacked out by the time the sun goes down.
Favorite Baltimore Bar: Mum’s, MaGerks circa 2006, and Sly Fox
Favorite Beer: Whatever I can get Matt to buy

    Other sports: Shuffleboard
Significant books: “Lord of the Flies” – William Golding, The Bourne series by Robert Ludlum
Favorite films: , One Crazy Summer, The Mighty Ducks trilogy, Slapshot, The Boondock Saints, TMNT: The Secret of the Ooze
Favorite quotes: “it’s science”, “two HIV positives make a negative, right?”
Random thoughts: I’m pretty sure all my thoughts are random.
