The Baltimore-Chesapeake Brumbies is a non-profit organization founded in 1960. The club derives its name from the historic wild horse native to Australia. Until recently, Rugby has been played only on the amateur level. In a country that is driven by professionalism, amateurism is a roadblock to growth. The ability of rugby to not only survive, but grow in this situation shows its resilience. Sponsorship at the club level is becoming essential. BCRFC offers sponsors exposure on a community, city, regional and national level.

As a Division I team BCRFC attracts many quality players and coaches from across the world to create a very competitive team, whose record consistently earns them the right to compete in the men’s national playoff tournament. The road to this tournament is very grueling and demands a lot of dedication from the entire club. All of our players, coaches, and administrators have careers, families and other commitments outside of rugby; however, we are committed to our team goals. We hold ourselves to extremely high standards at practice, in games and at all rugby functions. We certainly could not achieve these goals without support from our Brumby Backers.

In addition to our national achievements we are most proud of our community outreach program. This program is giving young people a chance to excel at the fastest growing sport in the US. It is a Lifestyle and Attitude that can do greatness in the community and help young people to find a great release to express themselves. Therefore, we help the children find a sport that offers them a chance to earn greatness on and off the field.

Sponsoring the club can be a very rewarding experience. The BCRFC offers increased visibility for your product or service through advertising on BCRFC apparel, citywide team posters with the home game schedule, the website, and signage at the local rugby park. BCRFC was the first Rugby Club Founded South of the Mason-Dixon Line. It was established in 1960. BCRFC is a Men’s Division I rugby team, which competes in the USA Rugby club system. As such, teams from the Mid-Atlantic, Northeast and Mid-West will travel to Baltimore to compete in this competitive and organized division. Wherever a rugby team resides the community will benefit with access to free games, funding and maintenance of a top level rugby pitch (field) and an organized community outreach combined with the development of a youth program.

BCRFC is looking to partner with private and corporate sponsors to assist our club in transforming a neglected piece of inner city land into a top tier Division I Rugby field for youth and adult sports program while expanding your corporate presence in the East Baltimore Community. Bocek Field Park on Madison Street provides an ideal foundation to achieve our goals while also attaching a high profile sports team and YOUR corporate identity to the community. This is an excellent opportunity to attach YOUR brand to the fastest growing sport in the United States and assist this community by improving the natural landscape while encouraging inner city sports participation.

In addition to bringing a quality, competitive, top tier sport to a neglected community, as part of our Outreach Program we will be supporting summer rugby clinics for the inner-city youth in the area. The game of rugby is played by both genders of all ages. With your assistance our Outreach Program will provide a healthy alternative for an often neglected demographic.

Our short term plans are to contribute a significant amount of sponsorship contributions to create 2 regulation rugby pitches (rugby speak for field) that will be ready for home game operations in the spring and fall. Initially this will consist of goal posts and necessary field maintenance labor and materials.

Our long term plans are to begin the necessary upgrading of the field area and field house following the fall season. Work with the city on enhancing the field house, expanding to 3 multi-sport fields and installing a bleacher system, lights and practice equipment.

Making use of the current landscape we will convert an unutilized space into regulation rugby field including goal posts by the end of October. We will host two tournaments (Rites of Spring & Under-19 Boys Challenge Cup), as well as 10 home games on the field for our spring and fall season.
